grants for the conduct of scientific research on the prevalence of lead
and associated contaminants in the environment.

To provide testing to the general public for lead in water, soil, dust,
ceramics, paint, etc.
* To encourage and foster educational activities including understanding
of the effects, causes, and methods of eliminating lead contamination.
* To support the existing non-profit corporation, Clean Water for North
Carolina, Inc.

Water Lead Testing, Inc. is able to provide low cost testing of water, dust,
soil and paint samples through a research partnership with the Environmental
Quality Institute (EQI). The EQI is an environmental research center at
the University of North Carolina at Asheville conducting independent objective
research to help communities, government agencies and the private sector
gain accurate technical understanding of complex environmental issues. The
EQI is certified for the analyses of dust wipes, soil and paint chips and
also a nationally certified drinking water laboratory. |
